I smell a Tumblr war…

CB is my boy and we usually agree 99% of the time, but I’m going to go ahead and tell you why these shoes are wack.

1. The sole makes the shoes look cheap as shit.  The rippling effect makes the soles looks like rubber (even if they aren’t).  A good rubber sole (i.e. Dainite) gives you the comfort only rubber can while not looking like rubber, which is inherently a cheap looking material.  This sole only draws attention to itself.

2. This shoe cannot decide if it wants to be a longwing or not.  Everything’s kosher until the broguing hits the heel and all hell breaks loose.  Overlapping broguing is a deal breaker on any shoe in my eyes.  I understand that brogues (or wingtips) are “fancier” looking shoes, but when that point is stressed or overdone, as in this case, the shoe fails.

3. The lines under the ankle broguing only add to the clusterfuck referenced in #2.  There is just TOO much going on in the accent department for me to take this shoe seriously.

Skip these Hush Puppy ass reject looking shoes. And much love to CB as per usual.
